Title: what does a goood spark look like ?
Post by: jdmodelb on November 09, 2003, 01:19:27 AM
I have changed the points cond. plugs wires and rotor. I am getting spark and it is blue but it does not seem strong to me. and i cant say if it is consistent or not. I cant even get it to light off eather.  I think that the valves may be all out of adjustment. What should the spark look like?

I,m always happy to see a good blue spark at the gap. I am assuming your are using a distibutor and not a mag. Either way you want a good blue spark.

Are your plugs getting wet from to much gas? If the valves are set to tight they won't close enough for compression to fire or pop. Check your valve settings.
