Hello to everyone, I have acquired some months ago, a model HG tractor, or so the owners manual says, and am wondering if someone in the group can help me i.d. the year. The late previous owner had the serial number of 41GA644 hand written on the manual. I have looked on the bellhousing of the tractor and cannot find any i.d. tags anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas on this one? I appreciate any info I can get on it.
since you have a HG modell the plate woud be on the main frame right side around were you hold your feet.
The OC modell have them on the bellhouse.
Thanks for the reply. I can't find a tag on the frame but it's got a Ware loader mounted on it and I think maybe the frame of the loader is covering the i.d. tag on the frame of the tractor. {if it even has a tag}. Anyway, I found another message on this forum last night that listed serial numbers and years of tractors and it seems like mine may be a 1949. Also I checked behind the magneto and it is stamped 9-17-48 on the engine block. Any other info will help. Thanks.
