Title: hydrostatic drive
Post by: pipefitter72 on February 24, 2004, 03:03:42 PM
Has anyone installed a hydrostatic drive on an oc3?I was thinking I could put a pump on the output shaft behind the bellhousing,a hydraulic motor on the input of the transmission, and a foot pedal control for forward, reverse, and speed reduction.

I apologize..I think this question should have gone to the auxillary transmission section.

I never heard of putting a hydrolic drive on an HG. It may work for infinitely variable speed, but I would think there'd be lots of heat loss power.

We have a torque converter for an HG somewhere. Not sure if it was ever used.
