Title: ignition wires

Can someone tell me which cylinder is number one and which is number one on the distributor??? HG 42 engine 1XB3

I'll post this again, unless Blake throws me off for repeating myself-
If you have a distributor, the shade tree way is to pull the cap and the the plug from #1, the front one, I guess, though with a 4 banger, the back one will work too,  Stick your thumb over the plug hole, crank over the engine, and when your thumb pops off, see where the rotor is pointing. Then just follow the firing order.
This way, if somebody put the distributor in wrong, the engine won't know it.

On your ix engine if you have a magneto, looking at the cap, number one is at 1 o'clock position. See description<p>
No.3-------------No.1<p>
No.4-------------No.2<p>
On your engine No. 1 is always the sparkplug nearest to the radiator.<p>
Bill is right for a distributor follow the same timing order, although number one might start out at a different place.
