Re HG. Can someone give me the measurement from the rear edge of the hood to the rear of the engine side panels? Are the side panels solid or louvered?
Thanks.
sidepanels are 20 1/2 x 8 7/8 thats what mine are.
I did not think that the HG had side panels.
There are the side sheilds which are just behind the the grille and which act to protect you from coming into contact with the cooling fan.
The radiator mounted to the these as well.
The side shields did have a hole on each side for hoses from what I have seen for live hydraulics to run dozers or loaders.
If side panels were offered I have not seen them.
Try calling Landis Zimmerman 717-738-2573 in PA, he seems to have a wealth of knowledge of the history of Cletrac.
Good luck.

This was a surprise to me as well. If anyone has a picture of them I would be very interested to see what they looked like.
I am talking about the panels that cover the sides of the radiator and go a little bit back beyond the radiator. I need to know the distance from the back edge of these to the back edge of the hood.
I see---said the blind man:D:D
If you don't get an answer before tomorrow night I will measure mine and let you know---if I can remember.
I'm leaving for Alaska on Wednesday and am a little under the gun at the moment trying to get a bunch of things done:(
John i just measured mine and its 28 1/2" from the back edge of the panel to the back edge of the hood hope this will help
I measured some that I have for another tractor project and they are 9" by 20 1/2"
there is a 1/4" rolled up edge and long the front and back edges between the frame and the part that is covered by the hood when assembled together.
Holes for each side are for the radiator support(3), bolting to the frame(3), two for bolting to the hood and one for hydraulic hose.
Landis Zimmerman has these as reproductions, and although they may be pricey you will save lots of time and fustration ( I wish he had repro Hoods too).
I have some of these shields on one of my tractors when I bought it and thay are a heavier gauge that the stock ones and are very damn close to the orignals in any other way.
The set in my celler will need alot on hammering to straighten and some welding too.
Go for the new ones you'll be pleased.
Good luck.

GG
I have original option side shield to my OC3 they are quick mounted,
you only put them in a guide and lock them with a snap arms
but i dont know if the HG had them?
I dont have any picture of them for the moment but when i pick up my camera
i will take some photos of them.
I would be interested to see them too.
More gagits and geegaws for our tractors are what everyone should have.
Looking forward to your Pictures.
Keep Well all,
GG
I found a picture with an OC3 that has side shields, itÃ,´s not a good picture but you can see the shields.
eventually i will take a better picture on my shields
Here is a picture of the side panel to my OC3, outside view.
Here is the inside view, sorry not a good picture.
Good photos erik,
Thank you for posting them.
Are there any brackets to hold them to hold them to the tractor?
Regards,
George Gibby
There is a little bracket on either side of the frame, see picture.
It's a smal plate boltet on with three gigantic bolts througt the frame, the same bolts hold the skidplate.
I realize this is a 13 year old post but is there still a picture around of the OC3 side panels? Not the radiator/fan side shields, the ones that cover the engine that Erik is referring to.
