Title: I.D. plate location
Post by: KRM on April 03, 2004, 04:24:04 PM
I have what I think is a AG-6, by the pictures I've seen in this web-site.  I'm not able to locate the ID plate or serial number anywhere on the machine.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
Title: I. D. Plate

First of the I. D. plate will be on the enside of the "firewall" between the engine and the operators platform. I t will be on the right side if you were sitting on the seat. Second the AG-6 is so named because it was equipped with a 6 cylinder gas engine. The engine is a 226 cubic inch Continental. If you have a 6 cylinder and it is a hercules it is a larger crawler and a B model. One way to tell the difference between a Hercules and the Continental, the distributor for the Hercules is on the left side. For a Continental the mag will be on the right side under the manifold or if it has a distributor it will be on top of the cylinder head> Hope this helps.
