Hello all,
It finally arrived. Had to call a hauling company to finaly get it. Set me back $500.00 so......so far I have $677.50
in her. I have no ID plate to get serial number so is there any other way to
get the yearModel etc? Also I measured the width of the tracks from outside to outside. I get 69" at the rear and 67 1/2 in the front
is that normal? I guess its a E68 but Im not sure.It is unsyled. Has an Oliver oil pressure gauge and some type of ignition switch underneath that Says United American Bosh Corp Springfield Mass USA. CAn I get a key for this?(I bought this cause guy said it was running when parked a couple years ago so I didnt think it would take much to get her going but I think I was decieved. Think it sat for 10 or so years but I dont know what type damage can occur in a couple years if maifold was all rooted out. Pulled the plugs and the electrodes are completely rusted..manifold was shot so water got in thru there. Engine is stuck. Needs a air cleaner I believe there is nothing just the carb. Maybe it didnt have 1 but I think it had to have something there.Pulled head, bolts came out easily cylinder walls look good but valves and rings are stuck. It was missing two of the lower track wheels, just the outside part the inside wheels were all there. I have a hand crank that came with it but dont know if its the right 1. Can some1 tell me how long the original crank is supposed to be? I need a Manual for this Relic if some1 can scan theirs Im willing to pay.
All in all Im happy as Hell to have it just have to be patient till its time to fire her up. Oh didnt see any leaf springs on it so I dont know what the suspention is. Looks like it was green at some time but has the faded worn cletrac orange on parts also Wondering if this is a combination of tractors? Thanks for letting me babble. It is gunna be hard waiting to fire her up.

Ok motor is unstuck. Wa very surprised at how easy it broke after I lit the cylinders filled with snowmobile 2 cycle oil and a 1/4 oz of gas/oil mix on fire. After less than 5 minutes burning it turned easily.Valves were not suck they all opened and closed properly
but there is some crud inside that I can see.
Relic,
Congratulations on getting her home! Sounds like you're having a good time with the ol gal. Since the engine is "unstuck" I'd say you've overcome your biggest hurdle (although lots left to do). And by the way, I've never heard of that method before - interesting! I deal with HG's, OC3s, and B models so don't know much about the E but wanted to give you some encouragement! Keep after it. Some say you'll be proudly "puttin'" around your place on a fine running machine. And they are a lot of fun!
Yeah it is a different approach. But no different than useing a torch to free up bolts, same principle. Used the 2 cycle oil cause its thinner and was hoping it would penetrate better. I filled the cylinders with the oil the night before went out next day round noon and it was still locked up so I added a 1/4 ounce of gas per cylinder to get it burning till the oil caught fire and waited a few minutes. And wella....it broke free,Worked like a charm.
