Hey fellas..I posted this message sometime ago but not knowing what I am doing on computers to well..it ended up under a different topic so gonna retry the post. Recently I was given a Cletrac HG31. loaded her on my trailor with a comealong and toted her home. It seems to be pretty complete altho it doesn't run. The engine seems to be free, probably a Hercules 4 cylinder flathead. tracks seem good. the clutch seems to be frozen tho. Plan to tear it apart and restore it this winter. Before I do tho, I need some info. I have been reading this forum a lot and have noticed a lot of mention on HG 68's...HG 46's etc. but have never seen a single post about an HG 31. Does this mean it is a rather rare critter and very few around or does itmean that the HG31's aren't worth having and restoring? Would hate to spend a lot of time and money on something that doesn't warrant it. Any responses , postive or negative, would be greatly appreciated.
They are certainly worth having and restoring. I think they are much rarer than the wider tractors. You just got lucky!
