hello, I recently purchased oc 3 with a cont y91 engine that is damaged. wondered about f162 cont. engine? does anybody know hp of f162 ? and if it will work in place of y91. thanks new member
You asked about the horsepower of an F-162. At what RPM are you planning on running this engine. Remember and I have no idea as to what you are going to do with the tractor, but a major complain is for dozer work they are geared too fast. The original intend for them was to farm with which except for some real slow tasks like transplanting the speeds are better suited for. Next question, do you have any means of counting and measuring the center to center spacing of the bolts in the Y model bellhousings. I mean center to center straight across. Many of those clutch (bell) housings are built to an SAE standard
My oc3 has aux trans and someone has already made adapter plate for cont. engine.I was just wondering if anyone knew if f 162 had had same crankshaft and bell housing pattern what horsepower rating was, since they are easy to obtain and get parts for. Thanks kevin
