I have an OC3 with a 1XB3 would anyone have the crank specs that were original so I can determine my bearings after having it ground.
Thanks Dave
Standard Crankshaft: Mains 1.988/1.987
Rods. 1,748/1.747 Make sure you do not have Replacement IXB-ER engine. They have Military standard bearings. It may be most cost effective to have your old shells repoured.
the 1XB3 has bearings, the 1XK3 that was in the machine originally is a babbit bearing. Does this sound right?
thanks dave
The OC-3 should have the IXB, The IXK was used in the HG untill early 1950. Mike both cranks and rods. It may be an advantage for you to use the poured block & rods and have some one align bore them, less cost. Questions? Are you sure you have an OC-3 and not an HG. Do you have a serial number?
the numbers I have are 0C3-42 and 18wh698. The 1XK3 was in the machine to begin with and it tossed a rod out of the pan , the crank is not pretty.
