Title: starter for ag6

can somebody tell me what starter was used on the ag6 and was it used on anything else? where can i get one? thank you for all the info on engine swapping i am in the middle of using a hurricane6 in my ag6 thanks again.

Are you using the Willys flywheel? Makes no difference. Count the number of teeth on the ring gear because not all Continental flywheels use the same ring gear and or flywheel/ Do you have a govenor on the engine?

If it's any help ,I have been using a starter off a Bobcat 741 (with deutz engine) in my AG6.

i should have noted that i am using the original cletrac flywheel i have the original engine which is siezed but is complete minus the starter the willy's engine is also complete minus a starter

O. K I have a friend of mine who has been a Continental Engine Distributor for over 50 years. He has those starter numbers down pretty well. Send me a U2U with your e-mail and phone number. I am sure that you are also awear that the Willys is a FA-226 and the AG 6 is a plane jane F-226. If you are going to use the original governor you may want to think about that.
