just picked this up in a package deal with a couple 37 chevy pick-ups. i checked the id tag, but it is pretty un-readable. any help witha general idea of what it is would be greatly appriciated. i figure im into it about $150... what is this worth in this condition?
It is a late model E Cletrac.
Please reduce the size of your picture to under 100K as stated in the Welcome & Rules section. Thanks.
thanks... any idea on value? not gonna get rid of it.... just gotta know where to draw the line on spending. shoot me an email explaining how i can make pics smaller.
Don't look that bad good luck. Sorry i don't hnow what it is but would agree with Blake. Is that a packard in the conner
As far as the picture goes, you should be able to reduce it whatever program you use to edit your pictures. For the forum, making the picture about 300 pixels wide should be ok. And make sure you save it at 72 dpi resolution. Before you send the file, you should be able to tell how big it is in properties or something like that.
I tried editing it for you. I'm at work and don't have Photoshop here, so I have to use some stupid Windows program to edit. See if it works.
A little smaller than I wanted, but you can see it good. It is a late model E. I have one just like it with the same seat and wider track pads like yours. Does yours have electric start? Mine does. I need to get it back together sometime soon.
just got it home... 6 hours witha 12,000lb warn & snatchblock... to pull 300feet to trailer. try to get it cleaned up tomarrow so i can read tag and numbers. tracks are free, turning brakes work, looks to only be missing carb. no elec start:( i think the seat might need a lil work too;) the other car in pic is a 55 buick special hardtop.... in really great condition... but thats for another forum... too new for my tastes anyway
ok i decided i couldnt leave it till tomarrow.. here are the id numbers i found. model# E 62" serial# 4A760 engine# hercules 242654 OOC
engine seems to be froze... but i noticed when dumping oil down cylinders, it was running out intake where carb is missing. so probably got moisture in it and rusted rings.... i will get it broke free and see if it has spark..... then im gonna be looking for a carb HINT HINT
