thanx for the advice about the ragjoint.  I had some rubber of the correct density & made one.  It worked just fine.

i was in luck.  i was given a box of parts that looked like my injector.  sent it to the guy that rebuilt my other one & low & behold there was enough parts to get the backup pump I was looking for!  Gary said it was in better shape than the one now on the machine.

that is a beautiful restoration. I missed the year of the machine.  I have a question regarding the part/spacer used between the generator & water pump.  What is it called?  it is about 1/2 thick, mine appears to be made of rubber & has 6 concave spacers on each bolt holding the 2 units together.  Mine is all chewed up & I've had trouble finding a replacement.  I saw it on your right side pictures of your cletrac.  Mine is a 1953 BDH with a blade, that I pulled out of the mountains north of las vegas.

$2500 (CN) sounds like a good deal to me.  If you have a Case dealer close ask them about parts availability.  They could tell you what they stock or can still order.  Caterpillar  is rock solid & can probably supply you with anything you would need.  Base upon the prices, it's a matter of personal preferences as to which one to buy.

I need a back up for my cletrac crawler,  I understand that I can use 75R or an 85R as well.  Anyone know where I could get one?

but I want get a back up just in case.  Especially since so many of these older tractors & crawlers are being scrapped out.

I didn't have the complete number when I made the post.  I've been told that I could use a 75R or 85R as a substitute.

I would like to acquire a replacement injector pump.  It is an APE 65 & I've been told a 75 or 85 would also work.  Anyone know of a source beside Zimmerman's?
