Cletrac Orange was not used until 1936. Two-tone brown is probably the original colors. They have official names.

I just check back to this account every now and then, but, for the most part, everything has gone to Facebook. It's just easier for me. Most of those applying to be members on this forum are spammers, which take up lots of time to weed through. I've kept this group open in case something happens to Facebook and we can no longer use it.

I doubt very much if sprockets on these late modern tractors would be cast iron. Perhaps cast steel.

The water pump and mag just turn together. Therefore, you would just time the mag to the engine as usual.

Could somebody please tell me how to time the mag. to the water pump?  Thanks

Do you have any part of the original rubber track system? I assume this machine was recalled by Oliver and then changed back to steel.

It's hard to tell from your picture... how far from the seat and how far from the valve stem is the hole? Could it be plugged with a pipe plug and then machined off? They do install hardened valve seats and use some kind of adhesive to hold them in, so there is something that will hold up.

I just received a message from someone in Western Queensland Australia who has a BDRH SN 1JM044 that they want to sell. This number does not match anything I have on my serial number lists, nor have I heard of a BDRH. Perhaps the "R" is unique to Australia and New Zealand?

I would check NAPA for the head gasket. Also, Zimmerman's and OliverCrawlers.com. Should be easy to find. The bearing should have a number on it and be easy to find at a bearing supply.

My E-62 had a fuel pump. Since it did not pump correctly, I took it off and just gravity fed the gasoline. The only time you need the fuel pump is if you are going to up extremely steep hills with less than half a tank of fuel.

I'm not sure if it will work, but if the pistons from the JXD are good, you might be able to have the block bored to fit them.

Dustin,

New manifolds are available from a couple sources for these. Prices aren't bad either, so I wouldn't bother fabricating.

The magneto has no connection whatsoever to the electrical system, so changing to 12 volt or negative ground will have no bearing. There are some nice small 12 volt alternators out there that fit nicely. I'm sure you'll get some responses on these. Going from positive to negative  ground would just involve reversing the battery terminals and hooking up the new alternator. Reverse terminals on the ammeter. You'll have to change light bulbs when going to 12 volt. Starter should be fine.

Hope that helps,
Blake

Some of our other OC-3 experts might have an idea, but I don't know what that 90 deg bend in the rod is for. I don't think it's supposed to be there. Should be a yoke theaded on to the rod and attached to the pedal.
