If you have a good drill press and bits you will be ok. Big hole I think is 4" that's the hardest to cut. A small lathe and you can made a drive shaft..  I would post pics but never have to this site and not sure how to, but if someone would type up how I will post picks of my build

I was looking to have some casting made of the aux trans set up that is out lined on this site.. I will be close to being finished with my set up, and though I would have some casting made.. I did not know if there were any demand for this set up, or if it was only the tisco kit people were after..
Would like some input from the members please...
Thanks, Steve

HG, OC-3, OC-4 & General / oc3 tie bar question
January 18, 2010, 02:59:44 AM
After installing the motor and tightning the guide support brackets the question is:  Before tightning the tie bar is the tie bar spacer, object 1 in picture, suppose to be snug before tightning?  Mine has 1/8 inch of play.  So will I need to shim it to make it snug and then tighten or is it ok with the gap?  To me the spacer should be snug. Thanks for the info on the hose question, you should of been at the parts store when I asked for GL1 oil.. OOO it was that look of duh I need make and model, but I told him they don't use GL1 in car any more they use GL5, that was at Napa.. I found it at a little parts store the old guy said yes I have it in stock.. I now go there first..  Steve

HG, OC-3, OC-4 & General / Hey a new guy with a oc3

I'm new to this board and would like to pick the wisdom of the fellow members.. OC3.. The starters 12v or6v I know that a 6v start is made better than a 12v but I was told that these starters would brake the end of the shaft off if you go 12v ?? Are the shafts hard to find??  Ok the other thing is the bolts that hold the main frame to the trans are 5/8 soft bolts, I got new grade 5 but unclear about proper tork?? Thanks Steve
