Blake, You might try HGR in Cleveland, they have about 10 plotters right now, and they are priced from $40 to $299.
Their website:http://hgrindustrialsurplus.com/
just search inventory for plotter.

I did do searches, came up with very little. Yes, there is a Hercules engine Co., but they have nothing for the older engines. I also found a few "bandits" who are hoarding some old stock Hercules parts, but $100 a piston? When the had an auction at the original plant in Canton, (5 years ago?) I guess that was about the end of any new parts from Hercules.

Just checking if anyone has found any good sources for IXB engine parts,.,,,,,Other than the high priced Cletrac guy from eastern Pa. I have no troble with rings, but need some pistons.

HG, OC-3, OC-4 & General / It's an HG...... I would say
December 23, 2002, 04:52:36 PM
I'm fairly sure you have an HG there,,,,,,just look at the track frames and rear sprocket. The narrow (inside flange) front idler would make it an HG rather than an OC-3. Good luck on the mains,,,,,,about the only thing you can do is get your old ones re-babbitted. Look for a company that does this for old auto restoration,,,,,it's commonly done,,but usually expensive

I found the website,,,,,,,and sent them an e-mail to see if they have any info than can send me. Does anyone else out there have one of these Weldco dozers????
It's the firsat one I have seen on an Oliver, but the fact that they are from the Wst Coast might explain that. I'm from Pa,,,,If anyone has one, I would l like to see some pictures. Thanks again for the help.

I have an OC-4 B series with a 6 way blade that I have been unable to identify.
It resembles an HM-4, but not exactly. I just saw a picture in the Oliver magazine of an OC-4 with a 6 way blade made by Weldco. I never heard of this before, and it may be the one I have. Does anyone out there have any info on this Weldco dozer blade? Someone modified the lift cylinder mountings on mine,  and I would like to put it back to original, if I can find some info, and hopefully some photo's. I would appreciate any help on this, thanks,.

Product and Accessory Forum / Grease vs Oil
August 05, 2002, 09:23:40 PM
In my opinion, I think grease would be alright, as in some machines the seals are worn and the oil just runs out. If everything is perfect, yes the oil is best, but in the real world, the one of worn old crawlers, I think I would use grease. There is a grade of grease especially made for track rollers, it's a bit runny compared to regular grease

Cletrac History / Buda and Hercules Diesels
July 16, 2002, 01:01:12 AM
Cletrac AD's and BD's were made with both Buda and Hercules diesels. The ED had a Buda, but I don't know if an E ever had a Hercules. The Buda engine versions were called AD-2 and BD-2. I never heard of an FD with a Cummins, unless someone converted one. I have two of the AD-2's both apart, and with major problems. One of them, My Dad owned abot 25 years afo, at that time it was a fine running machine, but the guy he sold it to worked on the engine, and screwed it up. We got it back a few years ago, in pieces.

Check your field coils, they may be shorted . Also your armature should be tested. You can check for grounds, but to check completely you'll need a growler
