I've never seen fuel trailers like those but I do have two very poor quality image of cargo trailers built off the same platform...

It's interesting there is so little documentation out there for these units...

The only thing not listed is the shaft has a 0.188 Key to retain the handle.

Heya Jim - I just had a WXLC-3 shipped from CT to WA and they were ok with the 650lb guestimate I gave them - it had the clutch and accessories on it and sitting diagonally on a pallet it didn't hang over too much...

Had a cast iron zenith carb on it - flange is broken but I think I found a carb kit for it and can silver braze the flange back on...

So I figure 650 to 700 lbs is pretty close with clutch

Very cool stuff - probably could get them to do retreads on the grousers too since they are recasting the pads on M5/Stuart links too...

It's a 1966 duece and a half on 14.00r20 super singles... Definitely not your every day tow rig but I love it... 

My MG-1 (SN-4JA836) was actually in "From here to Eternity" (1979) with Natalie Wood and William Devane - it's towing a big searchlight trailer down the beach during the invasion reponse scenes...

I got it from the guy who rented it out to the movie company - he has owned it since 1971 and it has a California auto title and license plate - now a Washington State title and plates (they didn't ask if it was tracked! )

I ended up with this little guy - it is indeed military - 1940 AG SN 1X2072

I will work on getting it going again once I get one of my MG-1's up and running...

What part of your pump is broken I have a few cores that also have misc broken ears and casting bits - maybe we can mix and match something to get you going - a few pictures would be good...

Also did you find an interchange number for the mechanical seals (carbon / ceramic rotating seals) or did your unit have the packing nuts with a compressable packing for a seal?

I have a repo shop manual - what about the clutch are you looking to find out? It'll be tomorrow but I can scan in the pages... Let me know what you're after...

Doug is correct the forward hatch under the fuel tank is you access point for the rubber rag joint, intermediate shaft and then the clutch and pressure plate...

Access is tight with the tank in place so pulling it is your best option.

The only access cover on the underside is a round cleanout plate in the middle of the oil pan - the transmission is a big solid chuck of cast iron down there!

One of mine is missing the hatch in question so I can snap a few pics in there if you are interested...

What pieces are they missing? The actual drive flanges or the extension housing - I may be able to help depending on the condition of mine when I pull it down - one of my MG-1's has a cracked final drive spacer block and I am likely going to get a parts vehicle to replace the damaged parts - anything from the cracked unit may be available based on inspection results
