i think it was but I'm not sure my info is in storage.  gary hebding? bought them out years ago. i have a cletrac that has been there at some point in time. when i first was looking for parts i was hoping that gary had some around but he did not. if i can answer any questions you can always give me a call at402-322-0200 i am currently just getting back into collecting stuff i have 3  more cletrac im trying to get home before the week is up. one of which the compressor still turns over.

sorry no help on that one. the only data plates i have ever seen on any seat was one from southern parts when it was sold by them. i would think someone from the military had some cute data tag they put on it.

there is or was a place in Fort Collins Colorado that also made half-track tracks i cannot remember the name of the place but it seems like it was on college st. they may also have some ideas for us.

does anyone have contact info for david pope? the guy borrowed some parts from me for patterns and has not returned them yet. i have been trying to contact him and have had no luck. i sure dont want to drive to canada to track him down. i thought id give him a chance to reply before i take action to reclame my parts. thanks for the help guys. i am still alive and kicking just waiting for some extra $$ to return to my projects.

ya they were MG-1 track pads but not mine

i am wondering on my yellow MG-1 i am stripping down to rebuild. the steering levers seem to be not very tight when i pull them to turn it. does this meen i need to replace something or just adjust them somehow. i do have the manuals but just thought id ask you guys since im not that far yet to be able to work on them,im trying to work an changing out a engine or freeing it up hopefully today i will have the head off to see whats wrong besides the rust im sure it has in it. and blake have you got those pictures up yet for me i still have more to send when you do of my yellow one that is my current project. thanks everyone as always. i cannot wait until i can drive one of these cletrac under their own power they sure are fun to drive being pulled behind my pickup. i will try and attach a picture of my one i display in front of my house

anyone see any pictures of MG-2 tractor? I've never seen one.

whare does a guy find the alimite grease or oil pumper for the cletrac? its the one that oils the bogy wheels idlers and such good quality one in a decent price range?thanks  Buck

i have finally found a guy that has a book that tells which is which with the MG-1 i wont use his name because i did not ask him if i could but here is what he told me is that the john deere ones have a different serial number which is like 1DA000 and up they were built at a different plant i dont remember which one he told me. ill chat with him again soon and the others that were cletrac  built are like the 1JA000..they were built at the other plant he told me but dont remember which lost the paper. so it looks like i have 3 john deere and 2 cletrac built ones here in my yard. the best 3 i have are john deere. if this is incorrect let me know im sure he knows whats what when the guy has 20 some cletrac not all military. this is what is great about lists like this is the way to spread info to the world thanks for the help guys and thanks blake hope to get you some pictures soon of my cletrac im going to build.i need to pull it out of the line up first. still looking on what kind of pull type road grader they used ?

i finally have a set that has been cut off or at least the rivits have been so if you are still alive and my mormal e mail hasnt been getting to you or you are quite busy. i can get one or both sent to you for your patterns i still would like a set of top engine panels. how are you going to mount them to the machine do you have extra holders on the radiator allready and wont you weld or bolt the other ones on the firewall ? its cold here so i havent got your other measurements yet. well off to work i go if anyone would like pictures of stuff they are easy to take so let me know.

sorry im not sure whare to post this but do you have photos to see what letter or numbers refer to what crawler tractor so that us newbes can identify what we are reading about or may see in our journies. i have a hard time telling what is what. thanks

a guy at work who builds caterpillar tractors makes fun of my cletrac Mg-1 tractors and sure wish i had some info that would blow some smoke up his rear he is currently restoring a ten and has just got done with a thirty. im hopeing to get one of mine up and in show condition and let the people decide which is better that is when im setting there blowing stuff off with the compressor and working with some nice lighting from the generator. that is if i can get the parts to make them work. if all else fails hope it wins just because its so cool but once again he only thinks the cats are good cletrac sucks and not just the MG-1 he says they all do can you supply enough info that i can get back at him? i hate being made fun of about a hobby and such a cool machine. ow ya there is a little cletrac here in town for sale its pretty darn small it has the same tank as mine does for fuel other than that i dont know the model. ill look if anyone is interested. thanks for your help blake it may be worth it to here him squeel.

i am interested in finding out more about the cletrac tractors but cannot find any info about them if anyone could point me in the right direction of whare to look i will be glad to check it out. why are cletrac not too popular? thanks Buck

i would but cannot figure out how to get my scanner working it would be nice then i could just burn copies or send out the info insted i will halft to get them printed for lots more money than it would cost if i could do it but know one around here can figure out my scanner problem maby ill call gateway today and try them if i get a chance not too many manuals wanted only about 5 people need them i cannot believe that more people dont want these manuals considering all the MG-1 cletrac around i thought these were very rare untill i got one and now everyone has one which is great. i found a priming system yesterday hope they will sell it still looking for new tracks and pads for high speed driving well off to work i go later for now if anyone is a computer expert drop me a line i could use some help and could save some money.

hay everyone i have got a operators manual that is complete here but it is not mine and has the missing pages of the one that portrayal press is selling yes i have theirs also and would like to know how many copies everyone would like they cost me 10 dollars to print and the pictures look better so let me know and ill start to get some extras printed but need to know how many so they dont trash the orrigional from bending it over and over again. and it also has the pictures of the under chassis heater which is on page 47,48,49 it also shows the the spring loaded front wheel which i have 2 cletracks with and 2 without and it on pages 21,22 then the reprint from partrayal that it shows on page 22 is the front power takeoff-clutch it is actually on page 24 weird hu  thanks you can e mail me. next i also have the maintenance manual and will be getting copies but dont know what the cost will be on these but would like to know how many to do potrayal press would also like to copy my manual what should i charge them? of course ill only charge yoiu guys what it costs me and the prints will be quite nice i have bought one from floyd county museum and the pictures suck cant even make out what is what and it cost $30 my manual is in perfect condition and do not want to bend it open even for one time but have a few friends that i am going to do it for so i need to know how many to make up it has numbered pages to 180 but some are fold out pages just like the operators manual has in it and they both will be printed just as they are fold out and everything. well thats about it except for the engine in the cletrack i thought would be good is shot every spark plug hole is full of rust:(  you all can e mail me at mailto:bls@inebraska.com">bls@inebraska.com which can handle the load but yahoo cannot i think that should work if not let me know Thanks as always
