3 Cylinder... is there a substitution "part" for the starter... it sure doesnt look unique...

Hello, Kevin here from New York State... Hudson Valley Area. OC-4 is my new vice and addiction I bought it knowing the engine did not run... and no starter or generator. I was a little shocked at the price for the replacement parts for those 2 items. Any suggestions. And, I would really like to find a PTO and a 3 Point hitch for it.
