So far, only Thill Track and Tractor Service, Eau Claire, WI, responded to me.  They have a track press that will work on OC3 tracks.  Labor is $75 per hour.  Anyone here have any opinions or experience with this company?  They are more convenient to me than Zimmerman's.

Thanks.  Yes, I saw the YT one and copied the pics and comments.  Some thought it might be a bit light.  It might even be a master pin press.  I liked the y-tube one with the International 500 tracks the best so far.  I really like Zimmerman's service but freight is my concern.  You are right, I should see what the costs are.  Google helped  me find a business called Mobile Track Press near me.  I sent them an email.  I got what might be a robot response.  We will see if anything materialises.  I have so many projects that I really don't want to add building a track press to the list.  Exchanging the pins and bushings is still another project.  If nothing develops by spring, I'll probably try to sell it.  The rest of it seems pretty good.  There are lots of engine conversions so the good engine might have some value.  It has an unusual dozer that has its own frame-- well suited to the vulnerable HG frame.

I'm not looking to buy a track press.  I'm just looking for someone who can do the work.  How about anyone in all of Michigan or Wisconsin that can install pins and bushings in HG or OC3 tracks. 

Anybody know of a track press for HG or OC3 tracks near the northern tip of lower Michigan?

I put money time and effort into an OC-3-- tracks from W VA, engine from Ohio, auxillary transmission, rebuilt rollers and sprockets, and a paint job.  I collected a lot of parts as I was fixing it up.  I ended up selling it all.  Few years later I got a direct start IH TD6, 62 series (1963) with only about 2000 hours on it.  Nice tractor.  I don't why, but I wanted another HG or OC3.  I just found one and it followed me home last week.  Had a dozer too big for it.  It was mounted so that the pivot was high up behind the seat.  I have not been successful trying to post a picture yet.  The installation was well done and I think I can use part of the mount for an easy three-point hitch.  The PTO/belt pulley doesn't turn when engaged.  Hope to get the PTO going and cut the dozer down to HG size.  It needs a grille and I'm planning on making one myself so that I can allow for the hydraulic pump.

I sold my 56 OC-3 about 10 years ago plus all my parts.  I had a relapse and just picked up an HG 42.  The seller thought it was a 1945 but the tag on the bell housing indicates a 1949.  It has no water pump and an autolite starter.  It came with an odd dozer.  I'll post a picture one of these days.  It seems to be a pretty solid little tractor.
