Hi, I've seen a hercules JXD on ebay item no. 7551785179, am I correct in thinking this is the same model as fitted to the BG? if it is it would be great in my BD with a beyond economic repair engine.  Only major problem its in texas, I'm in the UK.
Does anyone on here have any experience of shipping items internationaly? Any help or advice very willingly recieved. Sam
I live in England, got interested in Cletrac's when I brought an Oliver BD in 2001, I now have an Oliver BD a Cletrac BDH and another BDH for parts and have just brought a 1919 model H. I also have a british built Track Marshall 90.  Always keen to hear from fellow collectors.

Sam, I'm not sure if the BG had a JXC or JXD, but they should be interchangeable. Not sure though if a gas engine can be bolted right in instead of the diesel. Others will know.

I know when Charles Doble shipped a lot of Cletracs and parts to England he sometimes used a Russian ship as it was cheap. But that was back in Soviet Union days.

There are probably some folks on here who regularily ship internationally.

Good luck,
Blake
My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors. Thanks blake, I did some reaserch last night and the JXC or JXD were used depending on year like the DJXB and DJXC.  The BG was lower geared than the Bd, as it revved very slightly higher, the difference was very small though I think a difference between 56 or 58 engine revs to one sproket turn to 62 on the BG. Don't know how this was done though.   Sam
