hi i am going to retrack my BDH only the replacement tracks were cut of the donor in a savage attack by the scrapman and he missed the master link can the links be sepperated using heat and a good drift ?and is ther any tips on refitting the links to the chain?? any thoughts would be great         bigdipper

You should be able to drive the pin out with plenty of heat and then some more and a very big hammer.  My tracks had been shortened by one link and they had removed the master pin link so I had to drive a pin out, it took a lot of big hits and heat.  You wil then have to use one link out of your old tracks to replace the damaged one.  Good luck.
