Have recently acquired this machine. Ran good till rear part of drive shaft spun on transmission shaft. Question is about the drive line, is it a spline connection or does it incorporate a sheer pin connection?

Hi.
That should have a splined shaft with a pin or bolt through it. Hopefully, you may find the drive shaft is stripped, rather than the splined shaft. It is easier to replace than the splined shaft.

Thank you for the information, I did sorta expected it to be splined. I did find out what some idiot did sometime in the past, as part of the original drive line joints were at the bottom of the tool box. Apparently whom ever rebuilt the drive line, didn't find the right rear knuckle spline so they ground down the shaft and just drilled through both pieces for a 5/16" bolt. Looks like I have the nice fine job of removing the shaft and rebuilding the splines. Then while It is apart might just break it all the way down and do a good restore of the whole machine, for there is no telling what other patch jobs were done. Thanks again for the info.
