OC-12 going back to work for awhile

Well my uncle called Monday and asked if he could borrow my OC-12 dozer to take to a job for awhile to push some dirt that the township is bringing in. He with all his Cats and newer equipment needs to use the old 12!

I figured it would do it some good to do some honest work, so I said ok, he could use it for awhile.

I wish I had taken it to our show at Saegertown a couple weeks ago. It would have been fun to push some dirt and run circles around all those Cat guys.

I knew my OC-12 had a bigger engine than stock - I believe it's a DJXD instead of a DJXC - but I did not know it was an OC-14 engine. Now the OC-14 was a power shift machine that never made it into production.

Once I get the 12 back, I want to continue to use it often to keep things in shape. The fuel tank seeps, so I need to do something about that.

Blake, do you have a picture of an OC-14 exp. that you could scan in? The non-production crawlers are always interesting to see.

By the way that was a great show at Saegertown, Pa. We really enjoyed all the dirt pushing. Our OC-4 dozer got a good work out pushing that heavy dirt for a while.

The only thing that separates the MEN from the BOYs is the size of their [size=50]TOYS[/size]

Ray, I don't know of any pictures, but I'll ask my uncle sometime. He ran the OC-12 exp, OC-14 exp, and OC-5. He said the OC-5 was a nice machine. He did not have power shift like the OC-9. More like the OC-4 only bigger.

We also have a picture of my gramps driving an MG-3 in a parade in Cleveland during WW2. I thought it was an MG-2, but Howard says it was an MG-3 that was driven from the front. I'm a little confused on this.
