Six speeds on DD

I noticed in the specification section that the model DD has 3 spds forward and one in reverse.  I recently parted with a 1939 DD with 4 spds forward and 2 reverse. Was this special built or are the specs wrong ?  Thanks

Early ones were 3 forward 1 reverse, later ones were 4 & 2. If you ask me when I would need to look it up  and that is not in the cards for tonight., have another project. Merr Christmas.
