I currently have an E-38 and am looking at a DD. The DD has been sitting on a trailer 3 years and was drove there under its own power. The guy that has it has never used it and he just wants to get scrap price for it. He's asking $1000. The serial # is 1L8934 on the crawler. It also has a heil blade on it model H.B. 60. It has a Hercules DRXB motor which I am guessing is the original motor. I was just wondering if parts are easliy obtained for this model and any other info that can be shed on it. I think the price is pretty reasonable, since he was going to have somebody come in and cut it up and haul it to the scrap yard. Just can't see a Cletrac going to the scrap yard that was running 3 years ago. Any info is appreciated  :D   Thanks, Matt

The DD is 1947, the DRXB was the original engine. If it ran 3 years ago, then it should run again unless at lot of water got into it.  Parts are hard to get. Nothing is made for it anymore. You can get seals bearings and filters, but other parts you have to get used.  I have a DG and an OC 15 that has the DRXC engine.  M & M surplus sales did have some engine parts a few years ago.  It is a 70 HP tractor, which is plenty for it's size. If the undercarrriage is in decent shape it would be worth getting going. I have a lot of info on these if you have any specific questions.
