MG-1/M-2 Colors

Hello,  I am helping in the restoration of a friends MG-1 and want to document the colors that where used on them.  The colors that we have found so far after removing the post war paint is Engine - Gray ( what shade?), Accesories - Black, Tractor - OD.  Has any anyone found any other colors and if so where were they located?  Has anyone found documentation to back up these colors?  The goal is to post all findings with pictures.

Colours sound good to me! My Cletrac which never made it back to the US and was sold war surplus in 1948 to a local farmer has never been repaintted, except for the rust colour that now covers it. However the fuel tank still has excellant OD paint and matt white markings and the engine colour on the valve covers is probably as good as the day it was sprayed and is definately the original colour. As to which shade I am no expert but looks very like the grey used on Dodge military engines.

I can email a picture of the correct fuel tank markings for lubrication if required, thats assuming my fuel tank is still where I put it five years ago!

That sound the same as what we are finding to, though none of the fuel tank marking are there.  Your pictures would be greatly appreciated.  Did you find red paint on the breather and grease caps?  Any other colors show up any where?  You can send your pictures to my E-mail if you like.

Where is your MG-1 located?  My friends is located in Stockton, CA.
