I was thinking about my AD today about the oil psi too. I ran it hard at a show over the summer and it was down to 15 psi at a higher rpm and like 7 ish at an idle. I know for sure the bottom is tight. There is a place on the filter housing where you can adjust the oil psi. I never have, but know you can.

I checked on that seal with no luck. I have heard that Zimmerman's is rebuilding them, so they must have figured a way to fix them. I would try them. I haven't had a chance to call about it, but will try next week.

Hi Bob, A cletrac mad mate who is also a fitter and turner  created one out of oil impregnated plastic .We have not put it back together yet to see if it was successfull as yet.If it works I shall find out the name of the material he used and let you know..Fingers crossed that it works. ian.

Bob

That would be good if it worked. I know it would help alot of people out on their water pump prediciments.

Hi Bob ,Well the water pump is back together and so far not leaking..Next time i see my mate i will get info on what the material was that he used .And what he had to do to make it..  Thanks for the help you have  given so far .These forums make keeping these tractors going a much easyer job .ian .

I'm thinking you should check the timing on your AD. I think that could be your problem. The timing chain stretches and can change the timing just enough to make a difference.

Hi Insissor ,Mate to be honest with you not really sure if it is a power problem . These tractors are a little higher geared than we are used to .So it may have been a case of expecting too much ..  So Where about in queensland are you ?   .    Bob the seal seems to be holding up all right ,but we have not run it very much .It seems to have been raining here for weeks ,so not getting much play time on them . Did ask my mate what materal he used ,but it went in one ear and out the other . I don't see a lot of him ,but i will make a point of retaning the info next time I see him ..He Made it on a cnc lathe so once Some one makes the first one it should be reasonable simple to keep making more .. He does drop in and vist the forum occasinally . So Scotty if you see this before i see you Put bob out of his misery and let him know what you used > Ian .

I'd like to pull my AD on a weight transfer against a bare D2 and a bare TD6 of the same vintage. I think it would be very interesting to see first hand on how they compair. I and alot of others who have been around my AD have been very impressed with the power it has. Maybe I'm partial because I'm a Cletrac man, but I think it does really good. I have an AG with an Anderson inside frame dozer on it and am actually fairly impressed with the power it has and its worn out. I've never pushed anything with my AD, but have pulled alot with it. I drug our Cat 15 (PV) around with it and the tracks don't turn on the 15. The 15 has a winch and I figure it must weigh in about the same.

I guess I've never ran too many D2s or D4s to really compair with the Cletracs either so...

Hi Incissor , Now i know who i am talking to ,The ADs new owner .Allan is my son and the one you have been dealing with on Ebay .The OC6 is going to Tweed Heads .Whats is the ground like at proston , boggy? Allan has me talked into taking it down for you ,But the unloading part is the problem .Do you have any banks or cuttings on the side of the road to reduce the unloading height ?.Next problem is that if it fines up enough next week  I am going to be flat out trying to catch up on a big backlog of work . There is not going to be enough hours in the day and every ones is going to think their job is more important than every one elses .Ian .
