Make sure you count the number of teeth on the ring gear. Hyster used the engine so did a lot of old Massey Harris tractors. I can come up with one of them I think

do you need the number of teeth on the ring gear or the starter bendex  or both also how far away from Missouri /lake of the ozarks are you??

the starter drive has 10 teeth on it  and mounts on the left side of the engine if you are sitting on this machine

well I've found out that the starter on my oliver 77 will almost fit on this cletrac  the bolt pattern is the same but the nose cone of it is to big and the starter is to long :( any ideas

Folks, I am posting a pictures of Oldcoal's tractor for identification. I think it's an HG or OC-3. What do you think?
My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors. it looks like an OC3 to me, I an no help on the notor. and I see what you meen on the bucket:)

Haven't a clue on the engine but the tractor looks like and HG to me--those are not OC front idlers.

Heres some numbers off the bellhouseing maybe they will tell you if its a HG or OC3 bellhouseing. Been told its the hercules houseing,  28588D with a BT under that.  Is this any help
