LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ABOUT A CLETRAC DOZER I JUST BOUGHT,,NAME PLATE HAS MODEL LISTED AS  AGH,,WITH SERIAL NUMBER AS 2X1108, BUT I CAN NOT FIND ANY THING ABOUT AN AGH,,WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A AG-6, BUT NOT WHAT ON THE NAME PLATE,,IS THE MODEL CORRECT? MACHINE LOOKS ROUGH, BUT RUNS AND OPERATES PRETY GOOD , BUT NEEDS BACK SPROCKETS,, ANY HELP WHERE I MIGHT FIND SOME,, THANKS,,WEASEL

The AG was a 4 cylinder with a Hercules OOC engine. When the war put the end of the OOC engine, the AG-6 was born in 1944. It has a 6 cylinder Continental. Both engines have226 cubic inches displacement. The H means it is a Hillside model. It is wider and without looking the tracks may also be longer. if I remember correcly the AG-6 serial numbers start with 3 X. Look at a couple other places on here and you will find more information on the AG series.

Hi there, Weasel,

Here is the serial number chart for the AG model.  I'm guessing you have a 4 cyl gas engine in there - at least that's what yours should have, based on the 2X serial number and the A"G" designation.  It is a 1939.

THANKS JOHN AND JOHN,,SO WHAT I HAVE IS A 1939 MODEL ,,A WITH GAS AND HILSIDE,,OK,, BUT THINK ENGINE HAS BEEN CHANGED OVER THE YEARS ,, IT HAS A STRAIGHT LINE 6 GM MOTOR IN IT NOW,,,ANY IDEA WHERE I CAN GET PARTS ,, LIKE SPROKETS,,

There are hundreds of tractor junk yards all over the country, many of which have crawler parts. Do a search in Switchboard for farm equipment salvage yards and start calling. Also, please turn off the cap lock.
