I dug out my product information book from Imperial Oil (Canadian div of Exxon). There API class GL-1 oil is called Marvelube Gear oil and is available in 80W90 weight only. They say "Marvelube is a high quality straight mineral lubricant for all automotive uses where stable non-EP oils are specified. These applications include most manual transmissions, some spiral-bevel rear axles, and some worn drives--- units generally common to commerical, farm and construction equipment.   Marvelube also meets the SAE 50 engine oil viscosity specification and is recommended where SAE 50 engine oil is recommended for transmissions. Marvelube is the first choice due to its better low temperature fluidity."   This oil should be available from any Industrial Oil supplier.
