I have some pictures of a Cletrac that I might get, it's 800$ and not too far away. I thinkt that the manifold is cracked. I agree with Walter, it looks like an EN. I moved this over to the all models except HG... forum. Now that we know what the tractor is.

crawlers can be expensive to restore . the undercarriage is probably the most expensive to rebuild.when  determining the value look at the condition of the engine does it need a total rebuild or just a tuneup ,if the crawler runs ,will it steer to both sides ,is the trans. ok, look at the condition of the track bushings and how far out is the track adjuster,are the bottom rollers tight or worn out. If you want one bad enough disreguard all of this and just bring it home .

Thanks, I don't know much about it, it's a 3 hour drive so I don't know if I will get it. The guy hasn't been all that much helpful telling me anything about it. I hope to go see it when I go to see relatives in Connecticut over thanksgiving, but only time will tell. So how would I check the bushings and stuff? I don't think that it runs seeing that the manifold (I think) has a rather large crack in it. I don't think that I wil be restoring it but more just a protective paint job, for light duty work. I want one that will run, and work, because I don't have alot of money to spend on it right now, the Farmall's are taking up all of my money!

you can get by with some wear in the undercarriage ,if the track bushings are worn through so you can see the pins you will probably have trouble,look at the front idler wheel and see if it has much adjustment left.
manifolds for the ooc are not easy to find but if it is solid other than the crack it can be repaired .engine parts are available :rings,head gasket,valves,guides. i believe most of these have babit type crank bearings which have shims to correct for wear{if there are any left}.
when working on old tractors the first check you write is usually the cheapest.

The Farmall's aren't that cheap to get parts for now adays, but once they're running, they stay running! So do you think that even if the engine is stuck is it still a good deal?

if the tractor is complete that is not a bad price. i would say a parts tractor would be worth 400 to 500.

I forgot to ask, about how much do these weigh? and just incase, about how wide are they? from the pictures, I would say that the tracks are all the way in, if they are ajustable?

Those engines were discontinued by Cletrac in 1943. Before you start looking for a kit take the old parts out and measure them up. Then figgure out what you need. This is one of those deals where you need to look at the complete pictures.

The only thing is that I don't have it, I was just trying to price some things out before I buy it. My dad won't let me get it if it needs alot of money put into it. We TOTALLY rebuilt the Farmall Cub, and that cost about 1,000$, so if I buy it for 800$, I don't want to spend a that much just to get it going.
