I need to buy one for an OC4 and found an OC3 one without
the holes, for sale.  Is the hub and axle shaft the same?

Any info would be great

thanks
mike.

the wheel is the same but the oc4 has a larger shaft. the difference in the shaft is the outside dia. where the cast pieces are attatched to the shaft which slide on the track frame . if you get these also you can use the oc4 wheel.

I bet it depends on which OC-4 you have. The early ones were not much different than OC-3s. Jim Novotny should know this one.

I'm not sure if they are the same or not.
Sounds like Walter has been down this road before.
The shaft has an oliver number of #602 890 F and my oc4 in my avatar pic is Series A.
I'm reasonably sure if you do get another wheel, Landis can set you up with the right shaft and bushings.

If needed, I can go out to the barn sometime and dig up the old shaft I replaced and give you some dimensions.
