Just starting to work on my inherited E38 Cletra (1936-38).  Removed the plug on the left side of Transmission / no fluid draining out.  Unit has been sitting in the shed since (1977).

What is the best transmission weight oil to used for my unit.  The mechanic that is helping to get the unit running again that it could be a minerial based oil.

Any information well be helpful.  Also, were is the best place to get a
manual.

thanks

Use 50 weight non-detergent motor oil in the transmission, as well as in the lower track wheel reservoir and idlers.
