Hi,

I'm putting together a book about my grandfather who had several FDEs in the late 40s early 50s. I have posted two of the chapters at this site: jucreek.googlepages.com.

If anyone wants to see some old photos of Cletracs in action in Western Queensland, go for it, but you'll have to email me for the password for the pdf file.

It sounds like an interesting book, but please share the password with us so we can see it.

Thanks,

My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors. I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested, but just in case, the password to access the pdf files once they are downloaded is 6699.

Thanks Guy. I took a quick look at one file and the pictures are great! I'll look more tomorrow.
