I've made more progress on the horrid project

http://cletrac.org/newbb/viewtopic.php? ... c&start=25

Because of the "new" engine, mounting, etc, I decided to belt drive the pump. The EXISTING pump had been direct driven off the front of the engine, and I'd assumed I'd have to replace it  because the rotation would be reversed

The other day I got around to looking at the pump, it's a Hydreco, with these numbers on the tag: 1512C1B1

I went to the Hydreco site and downloaded their catalogue, but the numbers I have seem to be an older series, not listed. This is a two gear (external gear) pump, and is not marked as to rotation, or inlet/ outlet NOTE that if it's belt driven, mounted in the "usual" manner, it will be REVERSED from when I got the thing.

Can anyone ID this thing, and tell me if in fact it is reversible?
You cannot break it if it's broken,  but....
You can fix it so it cannot be fixed!!

It will be faster to see if you can revere the direction if you take the pump apart. Once you take the rear or front cover off see if you have what is known as the trap on each side. I will send you a PM. You send me a picture of the pump together + a picture of the pump apart and I can tell you.

Thanks, John,  got this straightened out.    Got a very helpful guy a Hydreco on the phone---he had to go look it up---and this pump is indeed rotational,  so that's one  less thing I'll have to replace
