Hi to all. Im looking at this ADH ser 7244 which I beleave is a '39 The owner says the motor has been changed to a 6cyc gmc. Also has a second gear box that runs the pto in reverse? Does the Blade appear orig. or an add-on? Owner says the radiator is original but the hood doesn't look like my '47 AD. What do you thinkof this one?   http://s769.photobucket.com/albums/xx34 ... mview=grid

From the picture it looks like it has an up draft carb and top exit exhaust, are your sure the engine is not a 226 continental which was the engine that was used in the later gas models, the AG6.  I don't understand how the pto could go in reverse??  Does the tractor have 3 speed forward an one reverse like it should or does it run 3 speeds reverse and one forward??
The blade could be anything as they did not come from the factory with the blade that was added by the dealers.

I think the frame, track frames, and probably everything from the transmission back is Cletrac. Engine and it's housing, radiator, etc, looks added. Blade is not original.

It looks like they did a pretty good job.

It isn't an F226. The manifold is on the opposite side. It looks good in the pics for being all custom built. You can tell if its an AD for sure or not via the starter hole. Sitting on the seat of an AD the orig starter is on the right side. AG and AG6s are on the left. Also crank start AGs didn't have a starter spot. It is deffinately an early one, because of the "pie" shpaed holes in the front wheels and the outside mount top track wheel. '37 was the first year for the AD. I'm not sure what year they made that style undercarriage until and started the top mount top track wheel and the round holes in the front wheel.

Thank you for the responces. I'm always impressed with he knowledge that comes frm this site.I called the owner after realizing there were no foot peddels. Owner says the brakes are thru the steering clutches and the main clutch is by a lever similar to  the steering levers. The tractor has two transmissions one for the tractor and one for the pto. Thus a reversing gear for the pto? This thing is hard to figure given the original tractor. Will the undercarrage of this early model fit my 47' AD?  The blade and rams look like  a picture of an OC-4. I guess I'll hvae to drive the 6 hrs to really understand this tractor. Maybe I'll get some parts for the effort. Thank you for your support, Crux.

The owner called and left a message saying he sold the tractor. Sombody wasn't scared of it. These small dozers dissappear quick here in So Cal. Thanks again for your responce and support, Crux.
