I find myself in need of new plugs for these old tractors. What have you found to be the best brand, or have had the best luck with? I'm thinking on finding NOS plugs, but they are getting harded and harder to come by, sometimes quite expensive too.

Thanks for the help

I have used Champion W-18 (which replaces the old COM type plugs), but then I had some bad luck with Champion for a while. I used some A-Cs and they worked good. They say with today's junk ethanol mixed fuel to go up one heat range.

My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors. I know on the '40s and '50s Ford tractors (20hp or so with 6:1 compression) it's recommended to use Champion H-12 or Auto-Lite 437.
