Hi all i was hoping someone on this forum might be able to point me the right direction to purchasing two sets of rings for my DRXB Hercules engines in my DDHs. I have new liners and pistons for both but not enough rings. I am in Queensland Australia.
Thanks
Keith

Landis Zimmerman seems to be the go to guy here. Being a Mennonite, he has no email or Fax, you will have to call him on US Eastern Time zone business hours
I don't always have nothing to say, but when I do, I say it on Facebook.

You should be able to purchase a set of rings at any good local parts store that is willing to order them by dimensions. There are places that make them to order as well. Jerry Biro, who advertises on this site may have them as well.

Hi Blake it seems most of the places in Australia that made rings have shut down or are so dear it would cheaper to buy a new engine if possible. Would it be possible for yourself or other people on this to send me the email addresses of suppliers and ring manufactures in states. I would much appreciate this as it very expensive to ring from Australia and i really don't no where to start in the states. Thanks Keith

Give this place a try Keith. They make custom rings for anything. I bought two 10" rings 3/4" wide for my Rumely steam engine from them years ago. They were fast, perfectly made and reasonable.

Hi Keith , A couple more places to try in the US . IPD and Hastings .
This is some advise given on another forum  regarding old Caterpillar rings .

If you Anit doing the engine rebuilding yourself, and your engine builder didnt get any help from Hastings, IPD is World Famous for after-market Parts for many Engine Manufactures, You might need your Engine Re-Builder to Set-Up an ACCOUNT with IPD and Hastings Also to Get Tech Help and Support from both Outfits, Its the AMERICAN WAY, They want to add you to there mailing list and Known Who you Actually ARE !!.
.
Seems some places are greatvia Email enquiries , others hopeless .Atleast with emails our Aussie accents are not a problem .
