Well I'm back after taking a few days off for a quick vacation to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania.

Though hardly a "canyon", the Grand Canyon of Pa. is a gorge about 50 miles long through the mountains of north central Pa. formed by Pine Creek. A very nice place to go for a short vacation. Not too far from me and very affordable.

Took our 24 foot travel trailer. Get this: 15 miles per gallon pulling the trailer at 55-65 mile per hour over the mountains! Not bad and I could pull it up most hills in overdrive.

We took our mountain bikes and enjoyed several hours of the Pine Creek Trail, which is on the bed of an abandoned section of the New York Central. The next day we rented a canoe for a 10 mile jaunt.

Lots of things to do in the area, including the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum.

We bought a new digital camera just before the trip, so I'll be getting some pictures up on line in the near future.
