Hi everyone,

The hard drive in my computer crashed on Sunday August 1, 2004, so I have been unable to do anything from home or make any changes on the site.

I bought a new 120 GB hard drive and will install it tonight. Hopefully I can retrieve my lost data from the old hard drive. If not, I will have lost a lot of valuable information, including many pictures that were contributed to the Cletrac site. Those that have been loaded to the site are safe, but those awaiting loading are at jeapardy.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to resurect files from a crashed hard drive, let me know. My computer is a Mac G4 400 running System 9.1. I may upgrade to System 10.0.3, but not until I get this problem fixed and make sure my periphials have compatable drivers available.

Again, I hope I don't lose anything for this site, or for anything else I have of importance. Much was backed up, but some is not.

Blake
My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors.
