I was told that was what my machine is, - touble is I have never seen any thing ever listed or that model being talked about on ANY other discussion board. Does anyone have any info on this machine. I have owned it for about 12 years and now it is due some major engine work. Any and all info on this machine would be appreciated. TIA

The OC-96 is a very nice machine and easy to run. We had one when I was little and I think I could operate it when I was 4 or 5 years old. Took no physical effort whatsoever!

I know they have a 4 cylinder direct-injection Hercules diesel - not sure what model off hand. That engine started quickly, but I believe they have a weakness in the crankshaft. At least ours broke one.

They are basically an upgraded AD loader, but with power shift, a torque converter, counter-rotating tracks.

I would like to get another one someday.

My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors.
