I have inherited my Uncles - OC-96

It runs great just have some issues with it moving - it moves fine for a little bit then doesn't ??

But when the OC-96 is going - I can push all kinds a trees over! :)

I need to talk to my Dad's Neighbor I think he has a BG?? It has the cool 30's looking zig zag looking grill... Looks like
it's about the size of our D4. has a Blade as well.

We have a couple other Oliver's as well - a 1250 with the 3 cyl Fiat  and a Oliver Model 60... we have nicknamed "The Tug!"

Where do you post Pictures?  I can post some - that I have.

Thanks,
Steve

Hi,  I've have a OC-96 with the Hydro-static type trans.

I have a couple of Questions...

1. does the trans / Torque converter use the same Hydraulic Fluid as the Hydraulics? -as in raising and lowering the bucket or blade?

if separate where do you look or check the fluid for the Torque converter?

2. How do you drain the Hydraulic system?  there is a Bung on the bottom of the Hydraulic tank on the side.

Does this have a Filter?  I see 2 filters on the engine - I assume - one is engine oil and one is Diesel Fuel filter...

FYI... this sits outside in Oregon - so I guess it has water in the system.  I noticed it's kind a milky in the Hydraulic fluid tank...

Also - before my Uncle Passed - he told me if it sits for more than a Month - pull the oil line from the oil filter back to the pump
and put some oil in there prior to starting - the oil must drain back out of the oil and pump and then it starves the engine for oil.

Just thought I'd mention this in case some else has a similar crawler - I'd hate to see some destroy an engine.

Thanks,

Steve
