Hi, I just thought I'd let everyone know that we now have an OC-3 loader available with an Auxiliary Transmission in it.

First, my guess is that you are working on an OC4 3cyl crawler. If you unbolt the reverser from the clutch cover you should be able to slide the case back minus the clutch shaft, you will have to take the top off the reverser and push the shaft out toward the front. Good luck.

Hello Lee,

You have a late model B crawler built by Oliver. The model of the loader is also B, built by Ware Machine Works.

Ware is not in business any more ( I guess Sweibert did not know that) We bought Ware machine Works leftover stock and all their manuals.

The serial and model tag should be on the firewall.

Other then some dimensions which I don't have with me right now, the OC-9 tracks do not have the loose rolling bushings that most of the other Oliver and Cletrac tracks have. With the loose bushing on the A track it makes the bushing too big to fit into the sprocket.
That is why the Cat tracks will work, as they did not have that technology till YEARS after Cletrac had them.

PS Don't ask me why Oliver didn't use the loose rolling bushings on the OC-9, Our X-12 doesn't have them either.

we found that Cat D-4 tracks will work on the oc-9 & oc-96.
No other Oliver or Cletrac tracks will fit.

It sounds like you have problems with the final drive axel or final drive gears. Most likely a broken axel shaft. With a differential your crawler will not move with a broken axel unless you pull one or the other steering lever.

As far as figuring out which side has the problem, you will need to push against something and one track will have traction and the other will not. the latter is the side to check.

Try adding an extra washer on the drive just before the nut, the drive might be spinning out too far,

The driving problem could be in your final drive or in the steering clutches (spot-turn) Take the back cover off and check for anything loose, even though you can not always tell by just looking at it.
The only real way to check the final drive is to open it, there might be some bearings gone or gears with teeth missing.
Your question about the clutches being hard to replace, They are not too hard to replace, but both final drives have to be taken off to remove the spot-turn unit to work on it. It can be quite a job ( also expensive ) If you have a good differential you could rebuild your transmission with the differential in it.
You would sacrifice the tighter turning radius if you went from a spot-turn to a differential, but on the plus side you would have power the both tracks when turning which you don't have with the spot-turn steering.

That is great to see you driving that Cletrac W12! How did everything go together, what was the hardest part in getting your W12 up and running again? I remember the first photos that you posted and it looked like a big project!

Hello everyone!

Just thought I would let you know that we now have new replacement fenders available for OC-3 and HG.

Also, we still have new grills, side panels. seat springs, battery covers, and many other items.

I have never seen or heard any concrete evidence that Studabaker had anything to do with Hercules or Cletrac.

Does anyone know where that came from or was it just hear-say?
Maybe someone has some documents that they could share with us.

I was always told that the "S" in BGS stood for Special as the later BG had updates to the engine and electrical part of it.
We even have a thin manual from Oliver that shows all the changes made to the BG to call it a BGS.
