I am posting this for member daveyboy who has been having trouble getting into the forum:

Lastly, wanted to ask a question on the Auxilary transmission secotion. Wonder if anyone has considered the old ww2 jeep tranny, the T84, as an option? They are pretty compact and small...AND They are still pretty pentiful. If not that one, then the T90 out of the 1946 - 1971 flatfender jeeps. Now these are REALLY plentiful..to be honest, if my memory serves me, the T84/T90 was pretty much like the Model "A" tranny in size.

The key to making any of these trannies work is the bell housing adaptor and input shaft on the tranny. If the tranny bolts up to a Trasco adapter you're halfway there.
