My name is Doug Lowe and l live in Butler PA. My Grandfather, Albert T. Lowe owned a Cletrac and when I was very young I can remember being allowed to climb all over this thing.( I am 56 years old ) This model had a steering wheel and a chunk missing out of the PTO pulley on the front. The reason I know of the chunk missing from the pulley is my Father came across his Dad's former Cletrac at the Portersville Steam show many years ago and talked with the man that presently owned it and he was from Ohio. My Father said this particular model was unique because it was the first year for a water pump and that they returned to thermo-syphon after this year? I was curious if any members would know the whereabouts of this machine today. One of my Father's stories of this tractor was when the neighbor borrowed it and while trying to start it, it backfired and the hand crank came up a broke the poor guy's nose. Thank you.
