Talkin :Dg to myself here
but if its a DD and it looks like it, how come they are yellow? On this site it states they were made from 1936-39. Surely all Cletracs were still orange then? Confused.
Or did the DD evolve into something that Oliver owned?

Not many people were concerned with original colors, back in the days these machines were used they were lucky to get painted at all, let alone the original colors. Does it say "CLETRAC" or "OLIVER" on the radiator? The Oliver DD would have been yellow originally. If it's a DD, it will have double rear sprockets. A 6 cylinder diesel would make it a DD or BD if its smaller. The DD evolved into the OC-15 Oliver, which is similar,, but sheet metal is somewhat different.
HG's (several) OC-3's, (many), OC-4, OC-46,
OC-96, OC-12, OC-126, Cletrac AD2
Cletrac DD, Cletrag AG-6
Many other Crawlers, Tons of junk

Chris: I will send you an e-mail The DD is a 6 cylinder diesel and the engine has 2 cylinder heads. The engine displacement is over 500 cubic inch displacement. The BD is also a six cylinder as was mentione but with a smaller engine with 298  cubic inch displacement and it only had one head. You looked up the early DD not the later ones. Remember there should also be a vin tag on the engine side of the firewall under the hood on the right side.

I'm going with a BD, it just doesn't look big enough for a DD.

What I can see of the sprockets, looks B, and it doesn't look as if it has a trans filter under the seat

Looks like a good one tho!

That is a BD. The pump also has a Timken governor. Roosa Master pumps started to introduced on the BD models in 1952. I would say this tractor is between 1946 & 1951.
