Yeah I agree Doug. I'd say 5k would be max for a nice one. Would you sell the one you have? Maybe between two I could make a really nice one.

No, I really don't want to sell it at this time. From what I understand the transmission is fixable, a matter of some O rings that fail and you lose pressure on the clutch packs. Of course its a major job to get to those 50 cent O rings. But, if the situation changes, I'll let you know.

Ask my uncle Howard. I think he knows quite a bit about the details of the OC-96.
My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors. I would pay 5K for a nice one if it were close to me. Truckers around here charge $80 an hour so moving costs are high, and that is lost money as it does not add any value to the machine.  1K does not move one very far!

OK Doug, had to ask.

Blake, I'll have to get his email or phone from you. Still not sure what my problem is, but, we'll figure it out.

I think I read somewhere that tracks parts were impossible - pins and bushings. Is that true?

If I found a trucking co that charged $80 an hour here, I'd just have them move equipment for me and bill me, then I'd send the bill to my customer and make a couple bucks for doing nothing. I guess I'd say feel treated fair at $80, it is alot of money, but...

I think I may have found pins and bushings. My rails are good, but needs pins bushings. Wheels are close to an OC12, or an AD.
