Thought I'd share an old post card I have.  It's of a Cletrac crawler and a wheeled tractor pulling a McCormick Deering combine in a wheat field in Kansas.  At first, I thought the Cletrac was a 20-K like mine, but on close inspection it has a pulley on front, and suspension and tracks of a W.  What made me think it was a K was the fact that it has K fenders on it.  I suppose you could buy fenders and put them on your H or W for safety.  At first glance, I wondered what the Cletrac was doing out there with the other rig, but then I noticed a chain going from the front of the wheeled tractor, into the wheat towards the Cletrac.  McCormick Deering is promenant on the combine, and some of you would know if the tractor is MD with wide steel wheels.  I like that it takes a Cletrac on the end of the chain to really get the work done.

(I hope posting the photo worked)

I fixed your picture. You had html disabled.
My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors.
