Hello everyone !
I have gotten back to adding the trasco to my HG and was hoping someone out there could tell me the length of double yoke of the modified propeller shaft.
Keep well,

Hi Gibby,
The Trasco u-joint is made from two Model A thru 1948 Ford u-joints.  The piece of spline that is probably off a Model A thru 1948 Ford driveshaft is one inch long.  The two joints are machined off and the one inch splined piece hooks them together and is welded in place.  The C/L to C/L measurement of the caps is 2.390".  If your tranny is installed you will have to assemble the u-joints in place.  If you assemble the two joints and then try to install it you won't be able to.  I suggest you forget about  using the Trasco setup and instead make a removable u-joint like the one I helped John D engineer.  If you need more onfo just contact me.  Good Luck.

Hi Gibby,
When I refered to using Model A Ford joints, I meant the later Ford joints, not the early riveted together Model A Ford joints.  You must use the Ford joints so that you can use the washer and screw that hold the joint to the output shaft of the Trasco tranny.  Failure to bolt the yoke on will allow the tranny output shaft to move back and forth.  Do not fasten the rear yoke to the Oliver differential input shaft.  The yoke must be free to slide on the splines.
